Sangiovese is what we do best and this wine is no exception. It took a while for the tannins to calm down in this wine, but the result is both bold and elegant. The fermentation was performed in our terracotta amphorae and the wine was aged in the same neutral puncheon for almost three years. It still has plenty of fruit and a good deal of firm but softening tannins. Think cherries, chocolate, and a hint of licorice and you have Tryphon Sangiovese.
